कंप्यूटर कीबोर्ड क्या है – कीबोर्ड को हम हिंदी भाषा में कुंजीपटल (Keyboard) कहते है | एक input device है सामान्य Keyboard में 104 Keys होते है | कीबोर्ड में मैजूद हर एक Keys का अपना एक ख़ास काम होता है | Keyboard को कंप्यूटर से जोड़ने के लिए एक विशेष जगह बनी होती है लेकिन आजकल USB की-बोर्ड आते हैं जो कंप्यूटर की USB पोर्ट में लग जाते हैं तथा वायरलेस की-बोर्ड भी आते हैं जिन्हें सिस्टम से जोड़ने की जरूरत नहीं होती है | Keyboard के keys को 6 भागो में बटा गया है |

1. Function Keys
Function Keys Keyboard में सबसे ऊपर होता है | F1 से F12 तक लिखा होता है और Function Keys का यूज़ हर एक Program में अलग – अलग होता है |
2. Typing Keys
Keyboard में सबसे ज्यादा इस्तेमाल typing keys का होता है typing keys में दोनों तरह के keys alphabet और number शामिल होते है इन्हें criminal from में Alphanumeric key कहा जाता है typing key में सभी तरह के symbol and Punctuation Marks भी शामिल होते है |
3. Control keys
Shift, Ctrl, Windows (Win) और Alt ये key Control Keys होती है ये Shortcut के लिए इस्तेमाल की जाती है |
4. Navigation Keys
Navigation Keys के अंतर्गत Home, Page Up , Delete, END, Page Down,Insert और Cursor Control keys आता है |
- Home – कर्सर को लाइन के शुरुआत में लाने के लिए |
- End – कर्सर को लाइन के अंत(Last) में ले जाने के लिए |
- Page Up – कर्सर को पिछले पेज पर ले जाने के लिए Page Up Button का Use किया जाता है |
- Page Down – कर्सर को Next Page पर ले जाने के लिए Page Down Button का यूज किया जाता है |
5. Indicator Keys
- Num lock – Numeric Keys को On या off करने के लिए Num lock बटन दबाये |
- Caps Lock – अगर caps lock key on है तो जो भी अक्षर आप type करेगे वो सभी capital letter में type होगा और अगर off होगा तो जो भी अक्षर आप type करेगे वो सभी small letter में type होगा |
- Scroll Lock – इससे हम Scroll को On/Off कर सकते है |
6. Numeric Keys – Numeric Keypad का उपयोग
Numeric Keys Numeric keypad के अन्दर होता है Numeric Keys को calculator key भी कहा जाता है क्योकि Numeric Keypad में लगभग calculator के सामान्य ही keys होती है इसका इस्तेमाल number लिखने के लिए किया जाता है|
Keyboard Special Keys
- Space Bar (स्पेस बार) – यह कीबोर्ड की सभसे लम्बी Key होती है इसके द्वारा type करते time शब्दों के भीच में खली जगह दी जाती है |
- Enter Key ( एन्टर की ) – user द्वारा किए हुए निर्देश को processor के पास भेजने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है किसी भी Document में new paragraph शुरू करने के लिए भी इसे इस्तेमाल किया जाता है कीबोर्ड पर दो Enter Button होती है |
- Control Keys (कंट्रोल कीज) – Control keys को दूसरी keys के साथ दबाकर Computer को विशेष निर्देश देने के लिए प्रयुक्त किया जाता है कीबोर्ड पर दो Ctrl Keys होती है |
- Shift Keys (शिफ्ट कीज) – Shift Key का प्रयोग अग्रेजी के बड़े अक्षरों को type करने के लिए होता है यदि किसी key पर दो चिन्ह छपे होते है तो ऊपर वाले चिन्ह को type करने के लिए key के साथ shift को दबाना होता है कीबोर्ड पर दो Shift Keys होती है |
- Backspace Key (बैकस्पेस कीज) – Backspace Key को दबाने से कर्सर के बाई तरफ के अक्षर मिट (Delete) जाते है | Backspace Key का इस्तेमाल Back आने के लिए भी यूज़ किया जाता है |
- Tab Key (टैब की) – Tab Button कर्सर को एक ही बार में लंबी दूरी तय करता है और Browser Page दूसरे लिंक पर ले जाने के लिए है Word या Excel के table में एक वर्ग से दूसरे वर्ग में जाने के लिए इसका यूज़ किया जाता है
- Esc Key (एस्केप की) – यह एक Cancel Button है अगर आप कोई कार्य कर रहे हैं और उसे आप बीच में बंद या Cancel करना चाहते हैं तो आप Esc Button का Use कर सकते हैं | अगर आप ब्राउज़र में कोई भी चीज search कर रहे हैं और आप उसे रोकना चाहते हैं तो आप Esc button प्रेस कर दीजिए आपका search रुक जाएगा | और अगर आप Esc button साथ Ctrl button यूज करते हैं तो Start Menu खुल जाएगा |
- Delete Key (डिलीट की) – कर्सर के दायी ओर के अक्षर , चिन्ह को मिटाने के लिए और इसके द्वारा सिलेक्ट किए हुए word, file , line या Page को मिटाने के लिए यूज किया जाता है |
- Print Screen Key (प्रिंट स्क्रीन की) – Print Screen Key का यूज़ Screen को Capture करने के लिए यूज करते हैं |
- Pause Key (पॉज की) – इस Key का यूज़ हम किसी भी चल रहे प्रोग्राम को रोकने के लिए करते हैं
